Cells Already Here...

Counterterrorism Blog has this to say...

The current media rush to interpret what the US Government is releasing in terms of potential infiltration by an al Qaeda cell (or cells) to strike this summer is warranted but still unfocused. ABC News and AP have reported new official "concerns" of an attack on the US homeland this summer. ABC specified that (according to its sources) the Terrorists intend to attack a Government facility. Furthermore, as reported widely in the press, "new intelligence suggests a small al Qaeda cell is on its way to the US, or may already be here." The report added that the White House has convened an urgent multi-agency meeting for Thursday afternoon to address ways to minimize or counter the threat, and steps to harden and protect Government facilities."

The report quoted a former FBI agent (and ABC Terrorism expert) analyzing the potential threat by stating that the target is a Government building. ABC told its viewers that the tactics by the London attackers provided clues that are being used to decode other emails, etc. Even further AP reported that US Counter Terrorism officials have warned that al Qaeda has "interest in attacking in the summer time." Added to this salad of analysis, was the news about a previous video showing a "graduation" by the Taliban in Pakistan. And to season it, two more leads were added: One was the Daily Telegraph story about the 45 doctors who were planning on attacking a US military target in Florida and a Sky News report about British Pastor Canon Andrew White who has said of an April discussion with al Qaeda "representative" who told him "the killing will start in the UK and the US."

So in short, based on these "reports," US media are telling their audiences (from their Government sources) the following:

1. A Graduation has occurred in Pakistan (they showed the footage) and Jihadists are on their way to the West.

2. A Pastor has met an al Qaeda representative who told him operations are underway.

3. American analysts looked at the British Jihadists tactics over the past few weeks and "learned" something new. Something that taught them how to better read information they already had.

5. A media report said 45 doctors were to prepare an attack against a US base.

4. Hence, the conclusion is that a cell, or more, is on their way to the US. And according to a general mood, it was concluded that summers are better for Jihadists to attack.

But if the reader would re-read those five points he/she may ask many troubling questions. I have the following ones:

Hell In Gaza...

As most of you now know, there is civil war in the Gaza.

When Israel was in the Gaza none of this took place. Yes, the 'palestinians' were living in an impoverished condition. It was not the fault of Israel, but of the 'palestinian' authority. Where do you think the millions upon millions of international aide money is going? It's not going to the people that need it, just look at them...

There have been many there that want to immigrate to other parts of the world, and what do you think the response of their leadership was, it was this:

The rising number of Palestinians seeking to emigrate has prompted Jerusalem's Mufti, Mohammad Ahmed Hussein, to issue a fatwa prohibiting Palestinians from leaving Palestinian territories.

"Immigration from this blessed land is not permissible according to Islamic law," said the religious edict. "People who live in this land should not leave it for the invaders and occupiers."

That's right, this is for the good of their people, why else would they not be allowed to leave?
Ed Morrissey at FRONTPAGEMAG believes it's for this reason:

That's a sure sign of desperation. Imams now forbid movement of Palestinians even to other "blessed" lands, such as Muslim Egypt. Why? They know that if the Palestinians leave Gaza in droves, it will leave terrorist groups like Hamas, Fatah, and Islamic Jihad much more exposed to Israeli strikes.

The imams want their congregations to continue their roles as human shields so that terrorists can conduct holy wars. Isn't that special? No wonder they call Islam the Religion of Peace.

Now that the Gaza has exploded into a religious hell, no one wants to stay.

Hamas and Fatah, are full of devils, and these are the ones that we and the world want to give the opportunity to have their own state? Right next to the beloved Israel? FOOLS! Yes, we are fools if we press for that arrangement.

Israel, to their own detriment, leaves the Gaza, leaves their wonderful agricultural greenhouses etc., intact, for the 'palestinians' and what happens? The arab 'palestinians' destroy what was handed to them and now they are killing each other!

Give them a state? NEVER!

Wednesday Hero

This Weeks Soldier Was Suggested By Cindy

Lance Cpl. Steven Chavez
Lance Cpl. Steven Chavez
20 years old from Hondo, New Mexico
2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force
March 14, 2007

Tears ran down cheeks and strong men choked back emotion as the city of Hondo, NM payed tribute to fallen Marine, Steven Chavez. LCpl. Chavez lost his life on March 14, 2007 in a non-combat incident in which he was accidentally shot.

Chavez enlisted in the Marine Cops. right after he graduated in 2005. "You pray and you pray that the day never comes, and then it does," said Novelda Chavez, Chavez's mother. "Your emotions are mixed — it’s not true, it’s a bad dream, a bad dream you never wake up from."

In a letter Chavez wrote before he was sent to Iraq, he wrote:
"First of all I would like to thank everyone for your support. When I'm home on leave and when I'm away. That is so important to me. Thank you for your kind, supporting words in your letters and for the packages I've received. Those are awesome.

I've been through some pretty hard times, in the short time I've been in the Marine Corp. None harder then what I'm about to face. Yes I'm scared; nothing is scarier than the uncertainty of what your future holds for you. I'm prepared to face whatever lies ahead.

I put my life in the hands of the Lord. And pray that He guides my fellow soldiers and I down a safe path, that He will calm our fears, and give us the strength to do the job we have been trained to do, and to do that job well.

There are many lonely nights, when you're lying in your bunk thinking of family and friends, wondering what they are doing at that very moment. Wondering what mom is cooking for supper. I can almost taste the tortillas on the griddle.

I want to say to all of you tonight, I wouldn't change one thing about my life.

I've never been more proud of the choices I made in my life than the day I graduated from basic drill instructor placed that Anchor, Globe and Eagle Pin in my hand I knew then I was a UNITED STATES MARINE!

I'm Proud to protect and serve My Country

I'm Proud to protect and serve My Community

I'm Proud to protect and serve you

Thank you so much for your Support. Keep those letters coming. Mail is a precious commodity when you're so far from Home.

YOUR U.S. MARINE

LANCE CORPORAL STEVE CHAVEZ"

Hamas TV Drops Militant Mickey Mouse

Ok...

So, having many voices speak their outrage against this 'mouse attack', has caused Hamas to reassess their position on the mouse.

Israelnetdaily.com provided the comment found on the on-line edition of the Jerusalem Post: 'Mustafa Barghouti, Palestinian Information Minister, said the use of the cartoon character in such a role represented a "mistaken approach" to the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation.'

Mistaken approach? I would bet that they feel the only mistake was much of the western world getting in an uproar about it. They have demonstrated great will to teach their children to become a shahid for shuada (martyrs for suicide/homicide bombings).

Nuff said...

Wednesday Hero

This Weeks Soldier Was Suggested By Sunny Kay

Col. Cyril Richard
Col. Cyril Richard "Rick" Rescorla
68 years old from New York City, New York
16th Air Assault Brigade, Parachute Regiment (England)
Platoon Leader of 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) (U.S.)
September 11, 2001

Col. Rick Rescorla is a multiple time hero. In 1957 he enlisted in the British Army and began training as a paratrooper with The Parachute Regiment of the 16th Air Assault Brigade. He went on to serve with an intelligence unit in Cyprus, a paramilitary police inspector in the Northern Rhodesia Police (now the Zambia Police Service). When his military career ended in England he joined the Metropolitan Police Service in London. But he found the paperwork too boring and quite at the behest of a friend who encouraged him to join the United State Army. Which he did.

In 1963, Rescorla enlisted, with his friend, in the United States Army. After he completed basic training he attended officer training school and was assigned as a platoon leader in the 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile).

He was shipped to Vietnam and participated in the Battle of la Drang. While in Vietnam, he was given the nickname "Hard Core" by his men for his bravery in battle.

In 1968, Resorla became a U.S. citizen and continued his service in the Army Reserves until 1990 when he retired. In 1985 he joined a financial services firm, located in the World Trade Center, as security director.

In 1993, when the WTC was bombed, Rescorla was instrumental in evacuating people from the building. Afterwards, he enacted a policy in which all employees of the firm practiced evacuation drills every three months.

September 11, 2001. Rick Rescorla was supposed to be on vacation getting ready for his daughters wedding. Instead he was at work covering a shift for one of his deputies so that he could go on vacation. When American Airlines Flight 11 hit Tower 1, Rescorla ignored officials advice to stay put and opted instead to put his evacuation drills to use. While evacuating the 3,800 employees of his firm in Towers 2 and 5 he kept reminding them "be proud to be an American ...everyone will be talking about you tomorrow" and sang God Bless America over his bullhorn. When Flight 175 struck Tower 2, Rescorla had already evacuated most of the employees from his firm as well as many others from other floors. He then went back in, despite being told he needed to evacuate himself. The last known words anyone heard him say were, "As soon as I make sure everyone else is out". Tower 2 collapsed with Rick Rescorla last seen heading to the 10th floor looking for more people to help.

As a result of his actions that day, all but six employees of his firm made it out alive. One of those being him and three others being his deputies who followed him into Tower 2, Wesley Mercer, Jorge Velazquez, and Godwin Forde.

Mexican Gunfights On The Streets of Houston TX...

This is unbelievable... It's noon time, broad daylight, during the lunch hour on a main thoroughfare in SW Houston Texas. Apparently two rival immigrant smuggling gangs decided to have a gun battle over the one gang trying to steal a load of illegals from the other. Yeah, you heard that right. If I had a WTF column this would go there.

Why is this happening hear? I haven't heard anything about this until I saw it on Right Truth, go there for more comments.

Just another shining example of why we need to strictly enforce the immigration laws here. These type of people need to be found and prosecuted harshly. We don't need this kind of thing here, we have enough to be concerned about with foreigners bringing their evil intentions here. Innocent people are being exploited, harmed and many are dying needlessly.

Is anyone speaking up about this? Thanks Debbie for bringing this one up.

Another 'Nappy Haired' Controversy

I'm sure most of us have heard of the mess Imus has gotten himself into. Don Imus is a 'shock-jock' and, even though I've never listened to him, I understand he has made some recent remarks that have gotten some of the black community, including Barack Obama, quite angry. In particular, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have been very vocal. These two guys never miss an opportunity to be seen, but that's another story.

The terms Imus used, are used regularly in today's rap/hip hop culture, where everybody wants to be a thug. It doesn't matter if your black, white, hispanic, asian, etc. many of today's youth and young adults are living this lifestyle and it makes big money.

I am not taking a position, one way or the other, about what Imus has said. The point I would like to make is this, the ones who are claiming that they have been deeply hurt and offended, are not really interested in trying to make things 'right in the world.' No, they are all about retribution and vengeance, anything to further their own cause.

An interesting recent parallel is the muslim leadership here in America and in Europe trying to play the race card to further their own cause. They are not really interested in equality for all peoples, only getting as much as possible for themselves.

I mentioned 'Another Nappy Haired Controversy', go to the story and read what happened to a teacher when she used a book that has been critically acclaimed as an excellent children's book. The people in this story reacted much like what we are reading concerning the reaction from the higher profile black community. The only difference is, the higher profile folks are behaving much more dignified (tongue in cheek).

The story of 'Another Nappy Haired Controversy' is worth the read, check it out.
